Recently the quality of import children's garments were inspected in Beijing and Zhejiang resulted as a 30% unconformity. It is reported by media that some foreign enterprises exporting products to China with quality problems of neither in conformity with international standards nor with standards of China. 

Governemnt officials from MOC indicated that "it is true that different country has different product standards systems. However, one thing is definite that the export products shall be in conformity with the standards of the exporting country as well as the standards of the importing country. At moment the import commodity administration in our country is becoming more and more rigorous. It is discovered that some foreign companies are applying differential standards. For instance to apply high quality requirements on products to be sold at domestic market while apply low quality requirements on products to be exported to China. Such cases are absolutely not permitted."

"What should be even more concerned is the quality of milk powder. Due to the increasing demand of domestic consumers to import milk powder, some illegal merchants adulterated in import milk powder. It is reiterated that all products no matter domestic or import, shall be in conformity with related standards of China. Illegal phenomenon shall be definately crack down and be banned.
